Statistical Consulting

Ideally, investigators will consult with a statistician while still in the planning stages of an experiment. Many Canadian universities provide access to statisticians for consultations about experimental design and statistical analysis. In many cases, this service is free for graduate students and/or free for the first hour for other university researchers, with additional consultations provided on a fee-for-service basis. For some projects, it may be useful to include the cost of statistical consulting in grant proposals.
