Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Use of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for routine procedures carried out as part of animal care or as part of an animal based study is a means of ensuring that best practices (refinement alternatives) are implemented throughout an institution.

SOPs from Canadian Animal Care Committees

Some animal care committees post SOPs on their websites. Links to some of these pages are posted here for information only. Please note that the CCAC has not reviewed these, and any SOP must be approved by the animal care committee at the investigator's home institution. The CCAC welcomes submission of other SOPs to add to this list.
